John Key has recently claimed that if Labour was to win it would require a coalition of Labour, the Greens, New Zealand First and the Mana Party. Phil Goff has repeatedly said he will not work with Hone Harawira’s Mana Party, though if the video below is to be believed, the reality of this may be very different.
The video included below, which first showed up on Kiwiblog shows Labour’s Finance Spokesman (and possible future Labour Leader) David Cunliffe using the Mana Party’s bus to campaign against John Key in Avondale on the 20th of November.
The question one has to raise is: can you trust Goff’s promise that Labour and Mana won’t work together? Goff has repeatedly said that he will not for a coalition with Hone Harawira and the Mana Party claiming that he would be an unreliable partner. On face value one must take Goff at his word, but if this is to be believed why is Cunliffe and Labour campaigning with Mana in the video below?
Either Labour is closer to Mana than they want the public to know, or alternatively, Goff was left out on the loop in this occassion.
